McKay is a Legal Innovation + Technology Certificate student and rising 2L. He is a passionate problem solver and an advocate for improving the way we deliver legal services. As a 1L, he helped build a machine learning tool that spots legal issues while interning at the legal tech company, SavvySuit, and was selected as a Latham & Watkins Technology Innovation Summit Scholar. This summer he will attend the IFLP Boot Camp at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law and intern at Seyfarth Shaw in its SeyfarthLean Consulting group. He is excited to incorporate technology, data analytics, project management, and other skills into his legal education.

Prior to law school, McKay earned his B.S. in Sociology at Brigham Young University and gained experience helping non-profits in Europe and South America leverage data and design thinking to improve processes and increase sustainability. Additionally, he served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate to children and teenagers in Utah County's juvenile welfare system.
